1.Conduct research to identify wine market trend, products and suppliers of the highest quality and most efficient delivery schedules; monitor and forecast wine marketing and sales trends.
2.Measure the effectiveness of existing marketing programs and strategies; convert complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports.
3.Gather data on consumers, competitors, market and export conditions.
4.Execute purchasing and sales activities from the development and implementation of the sourcing strategy to the management of agreements and vendors.
5.Establish short and long term purchasing objectives/target with year-over-year goals that will support the overall merchandising and business strategy.
6.Collect and analyze data about imports and exports, and investment project and winery production management.
7.Build a ranking matrix for vendors in Asia and America. (Bilingual skill in Mandarin and English is a must. Fluent Japanese is a plus. MS Office skills are required).
8.Work with current vendor relationships, including conduct negotiations with vendors in China and America, as well as sourcing new sales partnerships.
9.Leverage supplier and vendor relationships to maximize efficiencies in product transportation, quality and overall profitability.
10.Establish an environment that promotes open communication, creativity, and sharing of best practices between company owned retail/online stores and merchandising resources to accomplish sales, margin, and service objectives. (MS Office skills are required).
11.Create, coordinate and execute events to increase sales. This includes wine parties, special member events and tastings, off site events, and facility rentals.
12.Control costs and increase sales, monitor spending and control expenses; aid in fund formation and structuring.
13.Create and maintain quality relationships with customers that include private individuals, corporate event coordinators, destination management companies, winery vendors, colleagues and management.
14.Provide outreach to maintain or create new relationships including daily calls, weekly local visits, and monthly sales blitz to Event Planners, local hotels/B&Bs, and Corporate clients.
15.Maintain Hanna Nicole Vineyards & Winery special events client database.
16.Participate in Networking Events, Association, Concierge, and Networking Meetings to promote referral business.
17.Work with member managers to create and implement marketing plan and strategies, ensuring that the website and all collateral support the winery image.
18Execute marketing outreach to Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties as well as Asian market (especially China) and acts as liaison for all marketing collateral.
